Bismillahirrahmaanirrahim .
Thanks a lot to Irna for offerring me a lift to the place I have been longing for . And thanks for the lasagne too , it was nice....masyaAllah , pandai you buat . Bestnya to see them kerumun around us as we entered the premise . That felt tremendously rewarding . The 1st time we ( me, Irna & Muhammad ) went there was about a year and a half ago . We had attended a wedding invitation on that day . Due to the inevitable time miscalculation by the caterer , the host ended up with a big surplus of food ....hot , fresh nice and juicy 'orang kawen' foods .....nasi minyak and the complementary lauks . That was when the three of us decided to feed the children of Rumah Nur Hikmah . We took the risk of being turned away .....it was getting late , almost 11pm. Alhamdulillah our effort proved to be worth the while.. ....they hadn't had dinner yet ! Perfect timing . Disitulah tercetusnya the onset of our beautiful lasting relationship . Until recently , one of the little boys reminded me of that night...he tanya , " Mak cik, makcik....ingat tak masa mula2 dulu makcik datang makcik bawak makanan banyak sangat ??" malam malam ? Kesian....subhanallah..... how what seem trifling to someone can be comparatively relevant to another . Food on a hungry night .
Masa kita sampai tadi , 4 or 5 of the boys were playing outside the gate . Bergegas2 diorang datang to us....haha . Semua volunteered to carry the stuff we brought , especially the food . Subhanallah , sayangnya mereka ni . Sedang merindu sangat ni......

The girls were nowhere to be seen , diorang dah balik to their asrama . Terasa kecewa sikit, sebab ingatkan nak jumpa Fatin Aina . As the excited boys chattered away ....jumping, running around us ( being boys) , the Indonesian caretaker ( one out of 2 ) run me through the current updates....I was taken aback by the very 1st news ...." Farrah dah lari..." . Terkejut sebentar. ...berderau darah, bila dengar . Then, she continued ....Raihan pun dah lari. ( 17, 16 years old respectively) .
Tak lama kemudian, a sweet girl walked in the gates and sat herself on one of the sofas by us .....in the porch......I didn't recognise her face .....Ouh ok, she is new. She has just been sent by her aunty . She just shrugged her shoulders sadly when I asked where her mom was. As we continued the one-on-one rapport , baru realised she had never met her mom before . Her elder sister was also in there somewhere .....maintaining her obscurity till we left .( for a reason ). The new girl is Erma . She is also not in school, as yet......papers to be sorted out
first.
Talking about schooling in Malaysia, with respect to non-blue ic-holders brings back bitter memories of our situation when
we first returned home to this ' tanah tumpahnya darahku' . Shucks . :(
Tear-filled moments in the headmaster's office , virtually begging for even an unregistered seat in his Sekolah Kebangsaan were politely brushed aside . And why ? He was afraid to be charged with conspiring ! The same story here with these innocent girls . The teacher said , the school would be fined with 6k unless and otherwise. Sorry , but I fail to see the wisdom in this .
We talked on homeworks, tuitions , mengaji , about their daily activities when the rest are at school..........and was I tempted to suggest an ephemeral solution , but afraid of being rejected.... which I finally gathered enough courage and proposed the idea to Aina and Erma .......home-schooling ! Their eyes sparkled , senyum lebar.....siap tanya bila boleh mula ' cikgu' ? nak pakai baju sekolah ke 'cikgu' ? kih kih kih.......it has been a long time since I was last addressed by that noble title . ......I loved it , and still reminiscing . We departed ....Bye bye cikgu ! bye bye cikgu....little hands waving ......... ..God- blessed EUPHORIA ............ syukur atas nikmatMu ya Allah .
