Khamis 19 Ramadan , 2014    12.38am
17hb. Julai 2014

Bismillah.

Akhirnya
, dapat jugak menjejak-langkah ke Rumah Nur Hikmah di bulan puasa .Sadly sepanjang bulan Ramadan ni belum dapat lagi bersua dengan mereka . .....Semalam singgah kejap lepas drop-off my son kat Mid-Valley , guna the Viva that his friend rented in his name . Bukan apa , amanah orang harus dideliver cepat ....ada sejumlah sumbangan wang sealed in an envelope ( rasanya banyak juga ) , dah for a few days in my hand rasa tak comfortable . While I was there sempat bertanya whether the perabot from Yean's friend dah sampai , whether the curtains dah sampai , whether I can ajar Fatin Aina in my home-school , macam2 soalan I have in my mind .....kesian bibik2 di soal-jawab .....sorry but I couldn't help it . My visit is so infrequent , hence terpaksa nak tanya jugak all those big question marks in my mind.

Kesianya Haji Othman , he must be exhausted ....dia tak sedar dari tidur all that while I was there , amongst all the noise he terbujur di satu sudut in the living room . Most of the kids were asleep , penat from the morning-after the sahur I assume . Hasnor , a 14year-old melayan my questions . He has 7 siblings in the home , him being the second . He was enjoying menjaga 9-month-old Nadirah ( not his DNA sister) , the youngest in Rumah Nur Hikmah.

Two of his seven siblings

The curtains from a stranger I encountered in the Surau Hidayah whatsapp group , dah sampai . They are not up yet sebab they don't have the railings .
Alhamdulillah someone agreed to sponsor the curtain parts and someone else sanggup pasangkan . MasyaAllah the same person has generously agreed to rebuild the toilet area of Surah Al-Hidayah . May Allah bless her with Jannah , ameen.

Berbalik ke cerita harini , I got the opportunity to have a peek at the girl's hostel , sebab nak tengok apa yang perlu di betulkan . Well it is actually a low-cost terrace house that has been barred right up to the roof  meant for safety purposes ....that goes without saying . It looks like a prison . I was pre-warned a couple of times about the condition in the house......fifteen kids ( 6 - 15 years old) taken care by an Indonesian maid . Messy.. from whichever angle you would like to describe it .

I hope not to critize the place here . I wish , for them to have some form of structured life in there . In my mind , a caretaker and three helpers in no way can handle them well . It would be stressful ....already manifested in some ways .

  • substantial and regular fundings
  • capable and trained persons to oversee the children
  • a new school van
